Ni 9214 is designed for a high-precision high-channel counting system. It has a front-end fixed junction box (tb-9214), CJC sensors in multiple junction boxes, and a component layout that minimizes thermal gradient to increase overall accuracy.

The common mode voltage range of the common mode voltage Ni 9214 is the voltage value of any channel to com. If com is not connected, the internal common mode voltage of the input circuit is the average value of all inputs.
Ni 9214 measures the common mode voltage level of each channel. If the signal is outside the common mode voltage range, it returns a warning in the software.
Open circuit thermocouple detection each channel has an open circuit thermocouple detection (OTD) circuit, which contains the current source between TC + and Tc -. If the open thermocouple is connected to the channel, the current source will apply full range voltage between the terminals.
Input impedance each channel has a resistor to generate input impedance between TC and com terminals. The gain and offset errors caused by the source impedance of the connected thermocouple are negligible for most applications. Thermocouples with higher wire resistance may introduce more significant errors.
